A Little Bit about the United Center

Jerry Reinsdorf and Bill Wirtz owned the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks respectively. They teamed up and came up with a plan to construct a new home for the two teams. Groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 6, 1992 and the United Center opened its doors for the public for the first time on August 18, 1994.

The arena has witnessed plenty of epic moments too. The Chicago Bulls sealed their NBA Championships of 1996 and 1997 at the United Center. The Blackhawks also won the Stanley Cup in 2015 on home territory.
