The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs will be playing multiple home games this season. They will be going up against the Samford Bulldogs, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Horned Frogs are the Texas Christian University’s intercollegiate football team and have been playing since 1896. They play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, the top tier of intercollegiate football. Now that they are about to hit the turf at the Amon G. The Horned Frogs have won two national football championships, the first in 1935 and the second just three years later in 1938. They also have seventeen conference championships in total to their credit as members of five different conferences. The most recent conference title they won was in 2011. That year they romped to the Mountain West Conference crown with a more than impressive 11-2 record.

They will soon be playing at the Amon Carter stadium, as the Frogs go up against other NCAA teams, including their rivals, the Texas Tech Red Raiders.  The football program at the TCU has hired some of the best coaches in history to work with their teams. Legends like Matty Bell, Abe Martin, Sammy Baugh and Ki Aldrich have all played their part in making the Horned Frogs such a celebrated name in college football. Currently being coached by, Gary Patterson, they have won five conference titles and notched up seven Bowl victories under him.

The TCU Horned Frogs will be looking to get their hands on their third national title this season. Their form at home will go a long way in deciding if they pull it off or not.
