The Penguins topple the Predators

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators took on each other in the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals and it was an unusual game to say the least. The Penguins toppled the Predators 5-3 to take a 1-0 lead in the series but a lot of people are still scratching their heads as to how they did it.

There was a 37 minute stretch in the game during which the Penguins did not muster even one single shot on goal. Yes, they raced into a 3-0 lead but then allowed the Predators to make it 3-3. Nashville had more shots on goal (26) to Pittsburgh’s (12).  The Penguins still somehow managed to come out on top but they will have to play lot better than that in the upcoming encounters.
