Cleveland Browns football tickets
The Browns have compiled a magnificent record over the past years. Right from the start of their career, they have gotten their mitts on almost all major championship trophies. The late 1940s and 1950s was the golden period in the history of the Cleveland Browns when they won an impressive seven League Championships in the form of the AAFC Championship and NFL Championship in the span of only nine years. The team has performed equally well in its conference and has gotten a number of titles to its name. The Browns won six AFC Central Championships as well as three NFL Century and four AAFC Western championships. The list of the team’s conquests does not end there. The Browns have made it into to the playoffs a staggering twenty eight times over the years. Even though Cleveland Browns is one of the very few teams which has not qualified for the Super Bowl but the fans do not have an iota of doubt in their team.

The franchise of Cleveland Browns was founded in 1946 as a member team of the All American Football Conference (AAFC). Even though the franchise was founded in 1946, the name of the team was selected a year before the franchise was actually formed. In 1945, a contest was held as a result of which the franchise was given the name of Cleveland Browns. The team of Cleveland Browns is one of the very few American football teams which currently reside in their original city and have not been renamed even once. The team joined the NFL in 1950 when the AAFC went defunct. The team currently plays in the National Football League as a member of the North Division of the American Football Conference. It is the only team which has neither hosted nor qualified for the Super Bowl even once. But the fans have not lost hope.

Browns is definitely a force to reckon with in the own conference. They have a very rich legacy as they started off as a highly successful franchise in the AAFC. Even in the recent years, the team has performed spectacularly and that is why it enjoys worldwide recognition in the form of a widely spread fan base. Browns enjoy massive support in the Israeli city of Alon Shvut as well as the Canadian city of Niagara. Not many professional American football teams can boast such an internationally spread fan base. The team also enjoys immense popularity amongst Aston Villa fans in the UK as the English soccer club has started Cleveland Browns merchandize.

With the ever increasing popularity of the Browns fan on an international level, the spirit of the local Cleveland fans is also rejuvenated as the fans keep their fingers crossed for the upcoming mega championships in hopes that their team would be one step closer to bringing some of the most prestigious football trophies home to their fans. The fans have shown immense faith in their team and as a result have flocked to support their team game after game. If you too are a fan then get your Cleveland Browns tickets and cheer them to victory.

Cleveland Browns Rivals

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals have a very fierce rivalry. The animosity between the two sides developed because of two reasons. First is the geography because Cleveland and Cincinnati are in the Northeast and the Southeast respectively of the state of Ohio. Secondly, Paul Brown, who was a legendary coach of the Cleveland Browns, he was fired by Art Modell. Brown did not take that too well and he went on to form his own team which was the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals were formed as members of the AFL but after the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, these two sides were put in the same division. It has just carried on from there.

Pittsburgh Steelers

There is absolutely no love lost between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It is a historic rivalry that and remains the oldest rivalry in the National Football League. The animosity stems from the fact that these two cities have more than one thing in common. It is also known as the “Turnpike Rivalry” because most of the driving routes between these Cleveland and Pittsburgh go through Ohio and Pennsylvania Turnpikes.

As of the 2016 season, these two sides have faced each other on 131 occasions. The Steelers lead the regular season head to head 71-58. They have also squared off in the playoffs twice, with the team from Pittsburgh coming out on top both times.
