Members of the Western Conference’s Central Division, the Blackhawks are currently the team to beat in the NHL. Early Years

Formed in 1926, the Chicago White Sox were one of the charter members of the NHL. During their early years, the team had a somewhat okay, start until, 1934, then they won their first Stanley Cup. The franchise built upon that success and won their 

second championship in 1938. The Hawks had to wait more than twenty years for their next Stanley Cup, which came in 1960.

Following this major win, the team had a long barren run till the late 2000s. Though this run featured numerous playoff appearances, the team failed to win the Stanley Cup. However, the team did manage to win division titles on a regular basis. 

Stanley Cup Regulars

After years of playoff heartbreak, the Blackhawks finally won their fourth Stanley Cup title in 2010. They had to defeat to the Western Conference’s top seed, the San Jose Sharks in the Conference finals, to progress to the Stanley Cup series. The Hawks then defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in six games to win their first Stanley Cup since 1961.

It seemed as though the historic win opened a flood gate of sorts for the Blackhawks. They won their fifth Stanley Cup two seasons later along with the President’s Trophy. Their sixth Stanley Cup came a season later in 2015.
