Stanley Cup is the reason which added true sports life in ice hockey and helped it cross the Canadian boarders and reach Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia and the U.S. The 1924 Stanley Cup is that particular ice hockey event which convinced Charles Adams that there has to be one more NHL franchise granted to him for Boston and he convinced the authorities. Boston Bruins was formed in November 1924 and became one of the first few expansion teams for NHL.Art Ross became the first manager and coach of the team and held this spot for next 30 years. Ross came up the team’s name and the team proved itself to be the natural, untamed, agile, quick and sharp Boston Bruins. In accordance to the team’s name, its first uniform was designed in combination of yellow and brown.

Boston Bruins played their very first game in December 1924 against the Maroons and one it but didn’t manage to show an outstanding performance in the season. The team played its first 4 season at the oldest indoor ice hockey arena i.e. Boston Arena and shifted to Boston Garden in 1929.
