Latin artists have gained a significant audience for themselves in the U.S. Not only does the Latin-speaking community appreciate or demand their work, but other ethnic communities do as well. Artists such as Shakira, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez have given Latin music a kind of commercial platform that allows for newer artists to reach a wide audience. Wisin is one such latest name-drop in the latin music scene, along with his collaborative comrade, Yandel. The two have been co-touring the U.S after the release of their latest single, “Como Antes”. Wisin tickets are still available for their upcoming joint-shows and also some of Wisin’s solo concerts.

Juan Luis Morera Luna, or Wisin as he is known in the music business, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer and music producer, best known for being one-half of the duo Wisin & Yandel. His first solo album came into the market in 2004, titled “El Regreso del Sobreviviente”. The artist has released another solo record “Los Vaqueros: La Trilogia” in 2015. However, Wisin is most well-known for his collaborative projects, such as the “Power and Love” tour in 2014, on which he was accompanied by rapper Prince Royce. The tour went to various parts of the U.S and the other parts of the Latin-speaking world as well, and launched Wisin as a recording artist. Later, he joined forces with Yandel and has since produced his most recognizable works. Wisin is an artist who takes pride in his heritage and promotes it as best as he can. A humanitarian at heart, the artist is particularly dedicated towards voicing the concerns of his community on a commercial platform, so that they can be heard and represented.
Wisin started out as a recording artist and therefore worked mostly in the studio. His self-produced solo records have gained notable chart rankings. The first EP, “El Sobreviviente” ranked 20 in the U.S Latin charts and 16 in the U.S Latin Rhythm charts. His first complete record, “El Regreso del Sobreviviente” gained a ranking on the U.S charts as well, gaining a top 50 mark. In the U.S Latin charts, it ranked # 3 while it bagged a number 9 in the Rap Charts, and soared to # 1 on the Latin Rhythm charts.
Wisin had now become a recognizable name in the Latin music community. His next (and latest) album, “Los Vaqueros: La Trilogia” remains his highest ranked album, however, with a # 1 climb on the U.S Latin music charts in its first week of release. Wisin’s work is on a constantly rising streak, and you should witness him at his best by purchasing Wisin tickets for his upcoming live performances.
“Mujeres En El Club” is Wisin & Yandel’s latest collaboration with the famed American rapper 50 Cent. Not only have they sung on this track together, but 50 Cent has also produced the track and been a part of the recording process very closely. The rapper promoted the song on his website and social media channels as well allowing for the track to reach a much wider audience. This collaboration is a significant one because it marks a crossover between authentic Latin music and R&B. There is an undeniable importance of Latin music in the mainstream which artists such as 50 Cent continue to highlight. According to the rapper, the song was a perfect fit for him; “When they sent the actual concept, I listened to it and the melodies completely fit me. It could be a song that I could do apart from them. So we're meeting on a ground that is completely comfortable for both of us… when I go into the song with Wisin & Yandel I didn't even have to make those cadence changes.” – 50 Cent, Billboard
Live Shows Update
While Wisin has been working on some new tracks with Yandel, he is also featuring in a number of concerts and Latin music festivals in 2017. In October, for example, he has been invited to perform at the La Musa Awards, hosted by the Latin Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. His performance is accompanied by a string of leading Latin songwriters’ performances, such as Camilo Sesto, Ana Gabriel and Carlos Vives. These awards are one of the biggest nights of Latin music and everyone who is anyone in the industry will be there. He is also a headlining act in other events during October, along with superstars such as Ricky Martin and Marc Anthony. So make sure you have your Wisin tickets for any one of these shows to see him live.
