A very accomplished singer, songwriter, record producer, rapper, fashion designer and music video producer, Tyler (real name Tyler Gregory Okonma) set foot in the industry around 2007. His alternative hip-hop group Odd Future garnered plenty of recognition and Tyler’s talents were especially acknowledged as the de facto head of that squad.

Tyler’s influence on the work of the group is quite significant. He has been a performing artist on pretty much every song that Odd Future has released till now. Moreover, he also designs the bulk of the artwork for the group’s released music. Apart from this, Tyler’s solo career has also brought him considerable success.

He released his first full-length solo album Goblin in 2011. It turned out to be a huge hit, taking the number 1 position on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and 2nd spot on the Top Rap Albums chart. Two years later, Tyler came out with the second full-length album Wolf.

It went one step further by taking 1st place on the Top Rap Albums chart. This was also the first of four consecutive albums that would go on to secure the number 1 ranking on the Top Rap Albums chart. Other records to do so were Cherry Bomb, IGOR and Flower Boy.
