Tool have managed to enjoy consistent success ever since they first came to prominence back in the early nineties. Their debut album, “Undertow” was released a year later, and even though it initially only made it to number fifty on the Billboard charts, it went on to be certified two times platinum in the US. In the beginning

Tool was created in 1990 and originally consisted of Danny Carey (drums), Adam Jones (guitar), Maynard James Keenan (vocals) and Paul D'Amour (bass). After D’Amour voiced his desire to pursue other projects, he was eventually replaced by bassist Justin Chancellor in 1995.

The band signed their first recording contract in 1992 and released their first album, “Undertow” a year later. The album made it to number fifty on the Billboard charts and was certified two times platinum. It also set the tone for their subsequent releases over the next few years.
