About
Renowned rock band Tool first set foot in the music industry during the early 90s. They were one of the major acts behind the alternative metal movement of that era. Over the years, the quartet from Los Angeles has become widely known for their experimental sound and fusion of psychedelic rock, art rock and progressive rock music.
Tool is also one of the few acts that incorporate visual arts in their music. In their three-decade-long career, the group has delivered many chart-topping numbers and performed to packed houses all over the world. You can get Tool Birmingham AL tickets to find out just how good they are.
Career Highlights
In 1993, Tool came out with their debut album Undertow which had a dominant heavy metal sound. This would change later on with more of a leaning towards alternative metal in subsequent albums. With nearly 3 million album sales in the United States, it was certified double Platinum by the RIAA.
Album number 2 Ænima followed in 1996. It captured second place on the US Billboard 200 and ultimately received a triple Platinum certification from the RIAA. Furthermore, it also made it to the top 10 charts in countries like New Zealand, Canada and Australia apart from earning the band its first Grammy win.
Lateralus succeeded Ænima in 2001 before album number 4 10,000 Days was released in 2006. Both of these records topped the US Billboard 200 along with claiming first place on the ARIA Charts and the Canadian Albums Chart. The RIAA also gave Platinum certifications to the two albums.
