The Killers are the quintessential 90’s band for millennials. Having carried forward the pop-rock vibe of Bowie and Muse, The Killers are a band founded in the early 2000’s and have since gained an incredible fan following. Now, almost seventeen years later, the band is still going strong and has announced, both, a new tour as well as an album. The second wave gods are on the road with their ‘Wonderful, Wonderful’ record which creates and sports an entirely new sound. The tour is going to reflect this new sound, but also the classic hits which The Killers’ fans have grown to love. The Latest Album

Flowers came up with the title ‘Wonderful, Wonderful’ after being stuck in a desert plain and a thunderstorm approaching. He looked up at the sky, noticed he was the tallest object by a great distance, and just said; “wonderful. Wonderful.” He came out unscathed and with a concept for the band’s new album. Months later, in the recording studio, the band decided this title for the record as a symbolic nod to the acceptability of adversity that comes with age.

The album is particularly personal to Flowers, who has penned most of its tracks. It embodies his rise and dealing with fame, the up and down sides of it, and the kind of person these lessons have shaped him into. There are songs on this album as personal as “Some Kind of Love” which particularly tugs at his wife’s heartstrings who is known to be suffering from PTSD. Then it contains tracks such as “The Man” which shows Flowers’ less flattering side as a young musician thrust into the spotlight. Produced by the U2, R.E.M recording producer, Jacknife Lee, this record is gaining a lot of positive reviews.

Tour 2017

The Wonderful, Wonderful Tour is completing successful concert after concert across Europe, the U.K and Mexico. The Killers are now expected in North America in the fall of 2017. Out of many other cities, The Killers Philadelphia tickets are available now for their show at the Wells Fargo Center.
