This amazing American artist is also an instrumentalist, a musician who plays a good number of instruments that include guitar, harmonica, piano, bass guitar, banjo, drums and mandolin. He has been signed on to a number of record labels over the course of his career; these include Bloodshot Records, Lost Highway Records, PAX AM and Capitol Records, to whom he is signed on today. He has been part of a number of bands as well as played music alongside Whiskeytown, The Finger, The Cardinals, Patty Duke Syndrome, the legendary Elton John, Blank Label, Counting Crows and Phil Lesh & Friends. He started playing guitar when he was fourteen and was soon part of a local band, Blank Label.
After that, he played with two other local bands, The Lazy Stars and Ass. His rise to fame came when he formed the band Whiskeytown alongside Caitlin Cary several years later through which he released three different albums; Faithless Street, Strangers Almanac and Pneumonia. After being part of this band, he started off his solo career in 2000 with the album, Heartbraker, an album that instantly became critically acclaimed across many parts of America. The next year, he released his second album, Gold, an album that was again very successful whose first single, New York, New York, was a massive hit alongwith its music video.
Gold’s lead single contained the song New York, New York, whose music video was played a lot on two of music’s most popular channels, VH1 and MTV. This video made Ryan Adams even more popular and exposed him to a larger audience, all immediately falling in love with his sensational music. In 2002, Ryan Adams released his next album, Demolition, an album that featured songs he had made over the course of his career.
At the same time, Ryan Adams produced an album for Jesse Malin as well as formed another band, The Finger, with this artist. This band went on to release to different EPs that were later on released as an album. He then performed alongside the legendary and iconic artist, Elton John, on the renowned CMT Crossroads, during which the music icon referred to Ryan Adams as an inspiration by pointing towards Ryan Adams’s album, Heartbreaker, as an album that inspired Elton John to record his massive hit album, Songs from the West Coast. Thus, an artist who inspired the iconic Elton John is definitely someone to be seen live through Ryan Adams tickets for a smashing time.
