The maestro recently made headlines for touring with Marilyn Manson across Europe and US on Twins of Evil Tour, and in early 2013, announced the name of his fifth record, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor. He described this album for being particularly wired, heavy, and dark. His other studio albums include Hellbilly Deluxe, Educated Horses, Hellbilly Deluxe II, and The Sinister Urge, all of which made it among the top ten hits on US Billboard Albums charts, while the former most album went three-times platinum in the US and two-times platinum in Canada. Rob Zombie’s band White Zombie, released its debut album in 1987 called Soul Crusher, which was followed by the second offering Make them Die Slowly only two year later. It was their third studio offering La Sexorcisto: Devil Music that gave them their big breakthrough with its first single Thunder Kiss ’65, released in 1993. The record earned the status of multiple-times platinum according to the RIAA, with sales going just over two million in the US alone. Zombie started its solo career in 1998 with the release of Hellbilly Deluxe, which was both, a commercial as well critical success, producing three hit singles peaking within the Top Five on Billboard 200 while alongside selling more than three million copies all over the globe. To date, it is his highest selling album. This was followed by The Sinister Urge released in 2001, which too brought him similar success. In 2003, the metal rocker issued his first greatest hits called Past, Present and Future that was granted the platinum status by RIAA, and was followed by his third studio offering Educated Horses in 2006. The latter too entered Billboard 200 making place among its top ten hits. His most popular singles from over the years include Feel So Numb, Superbeast, Scum of the Earth, Dragula, Living Dead Girl, What, Sick Bubblegum, American Witch, Foxy Foxy, and Two-Lane Blacktop, among others.

Rob Zombie’s music has been majorly inspired by classic horror and suspense films, while he himself has named artists Elton John, Alice Cooper, Queen, and KISS as his influences. His musical incorporates various elements of alternative metal and heavy metal, and has been described to mix metal with hypnotic, industrial rhythm and haunting sounds along with distinctive vocals, a killer plot and a very complex beat. His songs have often featured samples and quotes from classic horror movies, especially his debut album Hellbilly Deluxe which includes quotes from horror thrillers like Mark the Devil, Last House on Left, and Satanic Rituals of Dracula. His music essentially explores his fascination with pummeling grooves, psychotic noises, and all possible horrific things including campy samples.
