Maren Morris Tickets
Music fans have a lot to look forward to as the multi-genre tours and holiday concerts are in full swing. There’s one artist on the forefront this year, who proved the music veterans wrong to rise on the top of the country charts. Say hello to Maren Morris. This 26-year old Texas native quickly established herself in the Nashville music scene and impressed all with her vocal stylings and songwriting. Morris’s debut album “Hero” came out in June and not just topped the Billboard Country charts but also earned her “New Artist of the Year” title at the CMA Awards. Catch her live at the WIL 92.3 Jinglefest in December and also as the opening act for Keith Urban. Maren Morris tickets are also available for her collaboration concerts with Chris Stapleton.
2016 CMA New Artist of the Year
Country music has pulled another Chris Stapleton. Maren Morris has been quietly working behind the scenes, penning songs for other singers – Tim McGraw’s “Last Turn Home” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Second Wind”, until she decided to get behind the mic herself. And what a smart move it was.
In a recent interview Maren Morris admitted that starting off as a songwriter has helped her become a better singer and performer. Writing from various view points, collaborating with other songwriters and putting your own individual thoughts on the paper helps develop a mature artistic mentality.
Playing gigs at local clubs around Nashville, Maren Morris attracted a lot of country listeners and continued to build on her fan base. Through sheer talent, magnetic stage presence and powerful vocals, Morris got the attention of biggies like Little Big Town, Loretta Lynn, Sam Hunt and Chris Stapleton, who invited her to open for them.
In 2015 she came out with her self-titled EP, which later got a formal release under the title “Hero”. The phenomenal singer had a banner freshman year in country music. Her debut track “My Church” earned her multiple nominations at the Country Music Association Awards and she took home “New Artist of the Year” trophy.
Why Fans & Critics Should Pay Attention to Maren Morris
Wondering why this 26-year old has become a huge sensation? Though her voice is uniquely hers, Maren is a perfect blend of Meghan Trainor’s snappy pop and Sheryl Crow’s lyrical prowess. A huge fan of Crow, Maren Morris cites the 9-time Grammy Award winner as her biggest inspiration. Her album “Hero” uses the same formula as Sheryl Crow’s “Tuesday Night Music Club”, mixing classic country with rock and pop. Knocking down all genre barriers, Morris has created something that’s fresh, catchy and reminiscent of all sounds.
The opening track “Sugar” is an upbeat pop, heavy on the acoustic guitar. “80s Mercedes” treats the listeners to confident singing and danceable tunes; whereas, “Wish I Was” is about soulful confessions. The thrilling country-pop-gospel number “My Church” soars with powerful, spiritual lyrics and vocal abilities that touch the soul.
Garnering international fame, Morris’s music has earned her the opening spot on Keith Urban’s 2016 Ripcord World Tour, Chris Stapleton’s North American Tour and guest appearance on the annual WIL 92.3 Jinglefest. It goes without saying that Maren Morris tickets are among the hottest purchases this season.
It’s Called Karma Baby And It Goes Around
Five-time CMA award nominee, recipient of 2016 Women in Music Breakthrough Artist award by the Billboard Magazine and New Artist of the Year, Maren Morris was rejected at The Voice and The American Idol! Hard to believe, right? She was turned away in the audition rounds and the then dejected aspiring musician believes it was the best thing that could happen to her. It’s not the sour grapes speaking, but Maren Morris genuinely feels that the rejection made her a better singer. Call it karma or a full circle, but both the singing reality shows that turned her down, now have the contestants covering her hit single “My Church”. It’s something that Maren is thankful for now.
The breakthrough artist will embark on her first headlining trek titled, “Hero Tour 2017” that will stop in 11 cities initially. More dates will be added in the coming weeks, so keep checking the space for the latest updates.
