The internationally acclaimed hip-hop artist, record producer and actor, Lecrae Moore, is now coming to your city to set the stage on fire with an incredible performance. His hard demeanor and strong beats give him a rather contrasting image to what his music is actually about - his love for Jesus Christ.
At the age of nineteen, Lecrae decided to dedicate his life to Christ and since then, he has been working towards spreading the message of the Gospel through several means. His rap career, however, has been his most influential method of doing so. This is your chance to watch this Grammy Award winner perform live on stage. Get your Lecrae tickets before the stocks end and watch him live in concert.
Lecrae was only nineteen years old when he attended a conference on the encouragement of a Christian leader. After hearing James White delivering the message of God, Lecrae almost instantly decided to devote his life to the Holy Spirit. The next five years saw him going through several struggles in his newly chosen path and by the age of twenty-five, he had chosen the most effective method to help his cause- music.
Lecrae began his professional music career in 2004 with his hit debut album, “Real Talk.” Another version of this debut album was released the following year, and stayed on the charts for twelve weeks. As Lecrae began to make a name in the music industry, he realized that he needed an even greater impact on urban culture if he was to create his desired impact on his listeners. Alongside his music, Lecrae also co-founded the non-profit organization, ‘ReachLife Ministries,’ in 2005.
Lecrae released his sophomore effort in 2006. Titled “After the Music Stops”, the album peaked at number five on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart and added legions of fans to his fan following. However, it was his third album that truly made him an international music icon. Titled “Rebel,” this album came out in 2008 and became the first Christian hip-hop album to reach number one on the Billboard Gospel chart.
In 2010, Lecrae released “Rehab,” which earned him a Grammy Award nomination and cemented his position as a legitimate hip-hop artist. In 2011, he landed a performance spot on the BET Hip-Hop Awards, which further enhanced his public exposure.
Lecrae’s music is a perfect blend of honesty, inspiration and faith. In the world of mainstream music where the lyrics are packed with subjects like love and loss, Lecrae has carved a prominent place for himself with his faith embracing songs.
In 2012, Lecrae released his first mixtape, “Church Clothes”. It was downloaded more than 100,000 times in less than forty-eight hours after release. The same year, Lecrae released his sixth studio album, “Gravity”. “Gravity” debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and earned Lecrae his first Grammy Award. The star is the first ever Christian hip-hop artist to have won this accolade.
In 2013, Lecrae released his second mixtape, “Church Clothes 2,” which was just as successful as its predecessor. The same year he was also invited to join the legendary touring hip-hop festival, “Rock the Bells Tour”. Lecrae brought together hip-hop legends like Rakim and the Wu-Tang Clan along with the fans’ favorites like J. Cole and Juicy J, as performers on the tour.
Lecrae’s latest and seventh studio album, “Anomaly,” came out in September this year. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold more than eighty-eight thousand copies in its first week after release.
