The upcoming concert inSeattle presents the popular music group, Kraftwerk. The group was formed in the 1960s when Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider met in Dusseldorf. Experimenting with German electronic music, the duo initially performed as “Organization.” They also released a studio record via the RCA Records in 1969. Titled “Tone Float,” the album received a three out of five star rating by AllMusic. Shortly afterwards “Organization” split and Schneider and Hutter were seen working with over a dozen musicians. Three albums and several live performances later, Hutterquit music to pursue studies. It wasn’t until the group’s fourth studio album that the band gained international success. “Autobahn” was released via the Vertigo and Philips Records in 1974. In 2009 re-mastered editions came out through labels such as Mute Records, EMI Records and Astralwerks Records.

Over a period of forty years, Kraftwerk has released ten studio albums, the most recent being “Tour de France Soundtracks” (2013). The current lineup of the electronic group consists of Ralf Hutter on lead vocals, Fritz Hilpert on percussion, Henning Schmitz on keyboards and Falk Grieffenhagen handling live video engineering.
