Joe Bonamassa made his debut in 2000 with his studio album A New Day Yesterday. Since then, he has released over ten studio albums, a dozen live albums and two collaboration albums.

All eleven of his studio albums have made it to the Top 10 of the Billboard Top Blues Albums. Out of these, seven went on to become number one on the blues charts.

Addition of a studio and a live album

In fall 2014, Bonamassa released his latest and eleventh studio album Different Shades of Blue that debuted on the Billboard 200 at number eight.

Half a year later, he released his album of live performances titled Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks that charted among the Top 40 on the Billboard 200.
