Well known by his stage name John Elton, Reginald Kenneth Dwight is an English pianist and composer. Playing piano since the age of three, John didn’t take very long to start his career as a weekend pianist in a local pub where he used to play for four days a week. At that time he was known as Reggie. Came 1964 and Bluesology was born. Formed by John and his friends, the band backed many American touring musicians such as Doris Troy, Billy Stewart, Major Lance and The Isley Brothers.

In 1969, John along with Bernie Taupin released his debut studio album "Empty Sky" which was followed by "Elton John," their second studio album.
