This enigmatic group surfaced in August 2007, when it debuted in Helix, Dublin, Ireland. Celtic Thunder is composed of male members, performing solo as well as a group. Initially, the group accompanied the Celtic Concert Orchestra, which was conceived by Sharon Browne and written and arranged by Phil Coulter. Originally it was a five member group, but lately Neil Byrne is a new induction in the group. Previously he had played guitar and sang backup for the group. However, for their latest album, the Celts collaborated with Neil permanently. Celtic thunder has released four eclectic albums including, Celtic Thunder, Take Me Home, Act Two, and It's Entertainment. The group has enjoyed great success for the first three albums ranking among the Top 10 for World Albums. In 2009, Celtic Thunder was named Top World Album Artist by the Billboard Magazine. He is from Derry, Northern Ireland. Next comes Ryan John Kelly, he was born on November 6, 1978. He is from Moy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Paul Michael Byrom is from Dublin Ireland and has performed at various events, including, major sporting events in Ireland and abroad. He has also performed for the Ireland's President, Mary McAleese as well as Japan's Emperor Akihito. He also released two solo albums called; I'll Be Home For Christmas ans Velvet . George Donaldson belongs to Glasgow, Scotland. He is the oldest member of the band and has enjoyed fame as a known guitarist, balladeer and flautist. Keith R. Harkin is from Derry Northern Ireland. This multi-faceted Guitarist has also written one of the songs for the band called "Lauren and I". He is also credited for writing the song called Chasing Dreams. He has recorded solo songs as well including, Vanity, What I Like and Don't Lose the FeelingComing to the latest induction in the group, Neil Byrne, music has always been very important for this lad as he was born in a family of musicians himself. Musical instruments gained his attention and he started playing guitar and piano from early childhood.
