Getting Discovered

Jon Bon Jovi started to play music when he was in his teens. He performed with many groups and eventually founded his own by recruiting, Dave Sabo, Tico Torres and David Bryan. The band soon began to open for local talents and ultimately caught the eye of Derek Shulman, who signed them to Mercury Records via which they released their first self-titled studio effort Bon Jovi in 1984. The album sold over one million copies in the U.S.  

What About Now

After 1984, Bon Jovi went on release major hit records like Slippery When Wet, Keep the Faith’ and New Jersey all of which contributed in their rise to superstardom. The band’s last studio effort What About Now was released in 2013. It climbed to the first spot in countries such as Spain, Sweden, Canada and Australia.
