The Formation

Contrary to their name, the Barenaked Ladies is a quintet of five strapping young lads. It was founded in 1988 by two passionate songwriters Steven Page and Ed Robertson while they were in college. Later, the brothers Burnett Creegan and Andy Creegan were added to the group’s line-up while Tyler Steward joined later. After the departure of Steven Page and Andy Creegan, the guitarist Kevin Hearn became a part of the band.

The Hit Albums

Barenaked Ladies set off on their music journey with the debut album “Gordon” in 1992 to excellent reviews. Titled “Stunt”, their most successful album was released in 1998 and became a chart-topper in no time peaking to the 3^rd place on Billboard 200.

The Barenaked Ladies surprised all the admirers with the follow up album “Maroon” in 2000. Another all time hit by BNL was the album “Hits from Yesterday & the Days Before” that came out in 2011 under the Rhino Entertainment label.  They have a legacy of blockbuster albums and their recent album “Fake Nudes” hit the shelves in 2017.
