Alanis Morissette plots a 2020 tour. The singer plans to hit the road for a world tour to celebrate 25 years of her seminal album, Jagged Little Pill. The album made her a success story overnight and won her five Grammys. Morissette has unveiled dates for the US run and it includes one Canadian date as well. Canadian queen Alanis Morissette has announced 31 dates of her US 2020 summer tour, along with a new album release that also drops in 2020.

Morissette’s New Album

Morissette is ready to drop her collection of fresh work that marks her first new album in eight years. Such Pretty Forks in the Road arrives on May1. It is her ninth studio album that comes after 2012’s Havoc and Bright Lights. Morissette has dropped the lead track “Reasons I Drink,” from her forthcoming album to give fans a taste of what is to come. The track is a classic Alanis song and if all the songs are on the same line then she has another hit up her sleeve.

The singer was only 19 when she became an international icon on the back of her third album, Jagged Little Pill. One of the most successful albums of the time it sold more than 33 million copies. According to her website, the album ranked in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Morissette will receive the 2019 Billboard Women In Music Icon Award on December 12 in Los Angeles. The singer is touring to celebrate 25 years of her epic album. The 31 date US run is slated to begin on June 2, 2020, in Portland, Oregon. Garbage and Liz Phair are supporting her on the trek. The tour wraps up in Nashville, TN on July 25th, 2020.
