Boulder is a city known well for its liberal streak and for being the hub of the cultural activity in the state of Colorado. The Coors Events Centre serves as home to the Buffs (for short) basketball teams since the late seventies. A’ Soul’ musician from Washington, Allen Stone is also making a stop in Boulder. He will be bringing his groovy instrumentations and a voice that is pure joy to hear, to a venue in the city. His self-released debut album Last To Speak came out in 2010 and according to USA Today he is a "pitch-perfect powerhouse". His self-titled second album was released by him in 2011 which scooped the number two spot at iTunes’ R&B/Soul charts. It also charted at number 35 and number nine on the R&B/Hip Hop Album and the Billboard Heatseekers charts respectively.

Beach House is another singing duo belonging to the dream pop genre which is coming to town. In 2004, Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand formed this band and two years later in 2006 came out with their self-titled debut album. Thereafter they released three more albums with Bloom being the latest one that came out in 2012. Over all the albums have done well and earned good reviews.

Another music group that is all set to perform in Boulder is "Atmosphere". From Minneapolis, Minnesota, the band comprises of Sean Daley-the rapper who goes by the name "Slug" and Anthony Davis who is a DJ cum producer. The duo has toured extensively around the globe and it is because of these live performances that they have managed to gain their present fame.
