Azusa Pacific University (APU) is an evangelical Christian and an inter-denominational university located near Los Angeles in the suburban area of Azusa, California, United States.

According to the Azusa Pacific University’s official website, the university offers more than a hundred associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, on-campus, online and six regional campuses across southern California.

APU has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1962 and received its most recent reaccreditation in 2013.

Azusa Pacific University offers various and broad online degree programs. APU provides these dynamic programs through its various departments, schools and colleges.


To be considered for admission into an Azusa Pacific online program, the applicant must meet certain requirements set by the university. These requirements include:

  • A bachelor’s or a master’s degree from an accredited university, depending upon the online program you are applying to

  • A GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Online admission application and online application fee

  • Academic transcripts

  • Letters of recommendation in some cases

  • Proof of English language proficiency in some cases
College of liberal arts and sciences

APU provides three online programs through this college. These programs are online master of information technology, online master in teaching English to speakers of other languages and a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language.

College of music and arts: School of visual and performing arts

This college of APU provides the online master’s in modern art history program. This is a 24-month program that offers specialized coursework in modernism in addition to contemporary theory and the practice of art criticism.

School of business and management

This school offers two graduate programs, which are:

  • Online master’s of business administration.

This online program offers the students flexible and streamlined coursework in a convenient online format.

  • Online master’s of arts in management

This online program merges relevant business techniques and leadership strategies, and provides coursework to the students in a flexible online format.

School of education

The APU School of Education provides online programs in two categories, educational leadership and teacher education. The programs are titled as follows:

School of nursing

This school offers the online undergraduate accelerated RN to BSN program for registered nurses. The aim of this program is to enhance the clinical skill set of the student and develop organizational, managerial and communication abilities.
