This immensely gifted band was founded in the city of Columbia in Missouri in the year 2004 by two college friends namely Stephen Patterson and Greg Roberts. Three of the band members of White Rabbits had made a band in the past called the Texas Chainsaw Mass Choir. White Rabbits further added three more musicians and now the current line-up consists of Roberts (rhythm guitars and vocals), Patterson (piano and vocals), Jamie Levinson (drums), Mathew Clark (additional percussions), Alexander Evans (lead guitars) and Brian Betancourt (bass). White Rabbits is now based in New York City and are signed with TBD Records, this is the same recording company that has signed famous groups like Underworld and Radiohead.

White Rabbits released their first album Fort Nightly through Say Hey Records in the year 2007. This album was a good effort, it failed to chart but their soulful compositions and fine lyrics were praised by the critics. After a gap of two years in 2009 White Rabbits released another superb album called It’s Frightening. This time the band was noticed by a wider group of audience and It’s Frightening became their first album ever to chart on US Billboard at #184. This album was produced by famous musician and producer Britt Daniel who is also the guitarist and lead singer for the rock band Spoon.
 
White Rabbits have been touring with popular groups like Interpol, Spoon, Kaiser Chiefs and The Walkmen. Most recently they completed another tour in 2010 with Interpol. White Rabbits have performed on the Late Night Show with David Letterman as well as famous music festivals like Austin City Limits Music Festival and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
