Former World Heavyweight boxing champions Mike Tyson fought a bout with Kevin McBride, in this match McBride won the game in the sixth round. In the year 2007 Verizon Center was one of the foremost venues across the US that installed an LED Scoreboard of high definition quality. It is home to a number of sports teams like Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Washington Power and Georgetown Hoyas. Two Washington Capitals mascots “The Horn Guy” and “Goat” can be regularly spotted cheering for the team at every game.
