For experiencing the best in a concert or a game, the arena plays a great role. Safeco Field is one such arena which adds to the experience of the event and a certain percentage of audience comes to enjoy the comforts of the stadium in addition to a good game through Safeco Field tickets. Situated in Seattle, Washington, Safeco Field is a state-of-the-art baseball stadium with a retractable roof. Safeco Field which is also commonly known as The Safe or just Safeco is home to a very famous franchise of Major League Baseball, Seattle Mariners.
Safeco Field is owned by Washington-King County Stadium Authority and can seat more than 47,000 people in one game of baseball and more than 30,000 in a football game. The stadium also offers 70 luxury suites and more than 4,000 club seats for those who can spend some extra bucks and who want even better experience. The decision for a new stadium for Mariners was made when the previous arena became unsuitable for the team. The construction of the new stadium began and Safeco Field was opened to public in 1999 with a construction cost of 517.6 million Dollars. The naming rights of the stadium rest with Safeco Insurance and hence the name of the stadium is Safeco Field.
Safeco Field has layout and features of a top notch ball park and is unparalleled in its architecture and facilities. The stadium provides an asymmetrical view which is suitable for a baseball game, a natural grass ground and a services club for players and facilities of food and beverages which exceeds all. A whole lot of variety of food and drink is available at the stadium and audience don’t need to go and get the food as it can be delivered to their seats with just a phone call. With four entrances to the field, the entry to the stadium is made easy without any crowds, rushes or long lines and through elevators and escalators; audience can easily access their seats without climbing stairs.
Apart from being the home stadium of Seattle Mariners, Safeco Field also hosts other events like WWE WrestleMania XIX which was an event that attracted more than 54,000 people, making it a record crowd for the stadium in 2003. High school state championships of Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, Seattle Bowl in 2001 and a game of Washington Huskies baseball every season are also the notable events of Safeco Field.
Fans can enjoy not only the best games, comfortable seating and non-traditional food services but also other features like the Mariners Hall of Fame and Baseball Museum of the Pacific Northwest. There is an extensive display of art for public in the stadium which features items like the chandelier made of baseball bats, a huge baseball glove, cutouts of players in different game positions, the analog clock, Children Hospital Wishing Well and an attached playground and all that with just a couple of Safeco Field tickets.
