The Reliant Arena comprises of two separate floors which can accommodate various sorts of events. The ground floor of the arena is the main arena floor, where most of the events are held at the arena. The upper floor, on the other hand, comprises of meeting rooms as well the four exhibit halls. These exhibit halls are named as Exhibit Hall A, B, C, and D, and the largest of these is the Exhibit Hall D which stretches across 100,000 square feet of space. The ground was broke for the Reliant Arena back in the early 1970s and the construction of the arena saw its completion back in 1974. Since the Reliant Arena was constructed right next to the AstroHall, it was initially known as the AstroArena as well for a brief amount of time. However, Astrohall was later put to ground in 2002, to accommodate some parking space for the Reliant Stadium. So after the demolition of Astrohall, all those events that were previous held at the Astrohall were now being held at the Reliant Arena. So other than sporting events and concerts, various other events like Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and National Catholic Youth Conference also made its way to the Reliant Arena.
