Angel Roque was born in Havana Cuba in 1974. He was into music from a very tender age. While learning music he developed a passion for piano and decided to pursue a career as a pianist. For quite a few years he played piano at the Manuel Saumell Conservatory in Havana. In 1980 due political issues in Cuba he had to migrate to the US where he finally settled in Florida. During the mid 80’s he was temporarily disconnected from music but eventually his passion for playing piano resurfaced and he started performing.
 
Initially he played live music as duo with a friend on guitar in various clubs in the city. Roque also formed a band that played a wide variety of music such as salsa, meringue, cumbia and Latin. Roque has released fine albums like Sortilegio, 20 Razones, A Night in Havana, Tropicana in Palm Beach, Homenaje al Principe and Emociones Navidenas. A Night in Havana is till the latest album by Roque that includes soulful ballads in his native Cuban music. Some of the tracks in this album are “Only You”, “Ferensi”, “Las Perlas de tu Boca” and “Me Faltabus tu”.
