The Mark Taper Forum is a multipurpose arena located at the Los Angeles Music Center. It was built in 1967 and is known as one of the most honored venues in the city. Named on ‘Mark Taper’, the prominent real estate developer, this thrust stage theatre has a seating capacity of 739. Known for entertaining a wide range of audience, this theatre was designed by the talented architect Welton Becket. Mark Taper Forum is going to bring some of the most exciting plays in the upcoming season. ‘November’, David Mamet’s play hit the stage in 2007 and premiered on Broadway the next year. This Tony nominated comedy play was originally directed by Joe Mantello and features some of the very talented actors/actresses such as Dylan Baker, Ethan Phillips, Laurie Metcalf and Nathan Lane. The play ‘Other Desert Cities’ by Jon Robin Baitz was seen for the first time in 2011 on Broadway. One of the hottest events of this year, Other Desert Cities narrates the story of a family with each member having a different political view. One of the few plays that come from the genre ‘family secret’, this one is surely one of its kinds. 2012’s Pulitzer Prize winner play is scheduled to take place at this venue.
