Mark of the Quad Cities venue has been a prime entertaining venue for the city residents for almost two decades now. It was built in the year 1993 and is located on 1201 River Drive in the city of Moline in the State of Illinois. It is owned and operated by the Quad City Civic Center Authority. The facility construction cost was over $33 million, the total area of the facility is 31000 square feet. Mark of the Quad Cities is a multi-purpose venue with varying capacity for different events such as 9500 for hockey, 12000 for concerts, 3000 for theater concerts and last but not the least 6000 for amphitheater concerts.
Mark of the Quad Cities was inaugurated with an opening performance of acclaimed rock singer Neil Diamond. The center has been a home to famous sports teams such as Quad City Flames, Quad City Thunder, Quad City Steamwheelers and Quad Cities Silverbacks. Besides this it has been host to the Mid-Conference Tournaments that were held from 1996 to 1999. It has also hosted a number of popular wrestling events like SmackDown, RAW and ECW. Mark of the Quad Cities set a record attendance mark of 12000 when Neil Diamond performed here for the second time in the year 1996. More recently the venue name has been changed to i wireless center as the naming rights have been purchased for ten years by the i wireless mobile company.
