Kaufman was the architect behind “Santa Anita Racetrack,” “L.A Times building,” “Greystone Mansion” as well as the “Hoover Dam.”  The grand opening of the theater hall saw “Tommy Dorsey” along with his Orchestra performing to an excited and amazed crowd. The dance performance also included vocalist “Frank Sinatra” along the Orchestra as they swayed the crowd in a newly constructed beautiful dance hall.Latin Music Orchestra mostly dominated the Hollywood Palladium for a two-decade long period beginning in 1955. The “Tito Puenete Orchestra” played frequently during this period to a sold out venue of around five thousand attendees. The facility became a hot favorite of audiences to catch the Orchestra live in action. During the fifties, the hall managed to hold a wide variety of events varying from auto shows to political proceedings and charity balls. The highly acclaimed “Lawrence Welk Show” used the theater as its home during the early sixties.

The Hollywood Palladium went a renovation and re-construction phase during 2007. The entire exterior and interior was revamped and upgraded to improve the outlook as well as the facilities at the Palladium. The upgrade and improvements included a newly built dance floor along with better infrastructure for the stage, costing millions of dollars. The re-opening of the building in 2008 saw “Jay-Z” in a mega concert along with “DJ AM”.

Over the years, the Hollywood Palladium has hosted grand events including concerts of various genres including rock, Latin and hip-hop. The dance hall has featured renowned and celebrated artists including Jimi Hendrix, Josephine Powell, Jay Z, and Frank Sinatra amongst numerous others.
