Gruene Hall Tickets
Gruene Hall is an event venue located in Gruene, Texas. It was originally built by Heinrich D. Gruene in 1878. The town was named after him, and holds a historic significance to the state of Texas. It has now become one of the state’s oldest running dance halls and regarded by many as being one of the best. It is popular for holding traditional dance classes, recitals, musicals as well as concerts. It is especially busy during the weekends when there are both day and night shows. Many popular musicians have performed at the venue over the years. These include country music singer George Strait and others like Willie Nelson, Gregg Allman and Jeff Walker. This was also the place where the 1996 John Travolta starrer movie “Michael” was shot. This year will also be particularly eventful for the Hall as a string of popular musicians are scheduled to perform in the coming months. Among them are rock singer Chris Isaak and country star Bob Schneider. To attend any one of these concerts, buy Gruene Hall tickets online.

The hall is currently being run by Pat Molak and Mary Jane Nalley who have been responsible for it for more than 35 years now. Along with them, Tracie Ferguson has been the booking agent since the past nearly thirty years. When the hall was first opened, it had no particular purpose and was used for the arts in general. It was Ferguson’s vision to turn it into a music hall. He helped turn it into an iconic venue for music and related events. This approach then helped several musicians jump start their career. Among the artists that became famous by performing at the Gruene Hall are Jimmy Dale Gilmore, Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith and Lucinda Williams.
One of the performers at the venue this year is going to be the Stockton, California native, Chris Isaak. He is the critically acclaimed rock singer who is known for songs such as "Wicked Games" and "Life Will Go On." His career began in 1984 when he got signed to Warner Bros. Records and released his debut album "Silverstone." From this record, two songs were featured in the David Lynch film,’ Blue Velvet’. His follow up album was "Chris Isaak" and this too was quite successful. The cover art for this record was shot by Bruce Weber, who was a famous fashion photographer of the time. Isaak was then moved to Reprise Records, an extension of the Warner Bros. company. As a concert performer, Isaak is known for his mellow, almost haunting style of singing that mesmerizes the audience. When listening to him live, the fans are able to feel a connection with him. His voice is enough to fill an arena, and he does not need the assistance of pyrotechnics or extensive lighting or elaborate set designs to make him shine. Listening to him sing is truly an experience worth your time.
Another singer who has been scheduled to perform in the coming months at the venue is Bob Schneider, who is a country music star. The Austin, Texas based singer is not a stranger to the Gruene Hall, and has performed here in the 90s as well, which was just the beginning of his career. He comes from a family of musicians; his father was an opera singer, and they lived in Germany for a long time where he was able to experience all kinds of different music styles. Because both his parents were musicians, he learned to play the piano at a very young age and began performing in front of people at the tender age of five. When he grew up, he had a brief stint with a funk band which made two records before he was signed as a solo artist to a major record label. His songs have been featured in the soundtracks of many films including "Miss Congeniality," "Blue Skies for Everyone," and "Love is Everywhere" among others. Even though he has a large fan following, he prefers performing in smaller venues where he has a closer personal connection with his audience. He continues to perform with his old bands every now and then. If you are a fan of either of these two singers, then buy Gruene Hall tickets for their respective concerts on time.
