| Best Buy Theatre
The Best Buy Theatre was officially inaugurated in September 2005. This fabulous venue which is situated in Times Square is an indoor theatre. It was previously known as the Nokia theatre. The venue is managed and owned by the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and is situated on the 1515 Broadway, at the 44th Street at the corner of the Broadway. The theatre has a seating capacity of 2100 and features a wide array of some great events such as live television, concerts, web broadcasts, award shows, live recordings and some really awesome event parties.
The Best Buy Theatre has been designed by the famous architect by the name of David Rockwell from the Rockwell Group. David Rockwell is also an award winning architect, which further makes it believable as to how this venue is so well designed. The theatre has a fabulous orchestra section which has been blended in with a very extensive seating area towards the rear of the auditorium. It was announced in September 2010, that the theatre has successfully managed to purchase the naming rights of the venue after a follow up on Nokias decision not to restore its contract with the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).
The exhibition area of the Best Buy Theatre has an 85 foot long LED high definition screen which has the ability to display digital videos and also live video events. On the Broadway, this exhibition area of the venue is ranked as one of the largest. Another great feature of the exhibition area is that it has been connected directly to the MTV (Music Television) marquee. To say the least, an additional factor which makes the venue extremely impressing is that the venue has a gigantic capability of live text messaging along with the skills of broadcasting live events from the stage inside the theatre directly onto the marquee at the same time.
The Best Buy Theatre is managed, owned as well as operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), which is the live entertainment division of the Los Angeles based AEG. This particular live entertainment group is dedicated and focused on all the aspects which surround great contemporary and live music performances. The AEG Live has a global reach with local and regional expertise present in Las Vegas, Nashville, Los Angeles, New York City, Dallas, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, St. Louis, Sweden and London.
