For starters, The Amos is a small music venue with a capacity of a little over 1000 but it is laden with all the features that are the basic requirement of any or all venues. With a spacious dance floor, comfy sofas, booze & wine to liven up the evening and your favorite songsters performing right in front of your eyes; it has all the makings of a complete venue. Despite its smallness and limitedness, it has succeeded in winning critical acclaim and which is why it is the locals’ favorite venue for dance and entertainment. For the same reason, it is scheduled to bring-forth some of the liveliest performances for you that are sure to satisfy your taste of music. Whether the genre is country-music or hip-hop, pop or reggae, Amos Southend’s serving is appetizing and plateful – no one will go back home hungry and unsatisfied. Let this be our promise!
Like, really, who can sit back at home when the likes of Anberlin, Appetite for Destruction, Rebelution, Jimmy Eat World, Nonpoint and Underoath are coming? Everyone is coming including Slightly Stoopid (no pun intended) and you know deep down in your heart that you would be bad if you missed Who’s Bad performance. Not only you would see wanna-be stars clad in their idols’ costumes but also their performances are likely to be strong given their stage experience.
Whether it is BadFish paying homage to Sublime or The Appetite Destruction pledging to continue the hard rock tradition of Guns N’ Roses or Who’s Bad imitating Michael Jackson on the stage; you are guaranteed to be amused. Like one of their concert attendees said, ‘It is more like a fancy dress show’ – surely you guys know how appealing and attractive fancy dress shows are, need we add any more to it? Albeit Michael Jackson is no more in the world, his fans still holding him higher than God, gather to pay tribute to the king of pop. Dressed in glitzy gloves, sparkly jackets and glittery pants; his ardent fans, in this case the band-boys, are more like religious followers. Indeed, Who’s Bad’s performance is most looked-forward to as the news of 7 Michael Jacksons appearing simultaneously on the stage has been reported to cause quite a stir amongst locals.
Unfortunately the limited word count keeps us from expanding on the nature and diversity of music panorama that is coming to you with all its rhythm and tempo. All you need to know is that it is rich with variety, it has a touch of newness and if you are an esthete, your presence is awaited.
