Young enough to enlist, the young boy yearns to get news of his horse, which is shipped to fight in France. The story moves three years ahead and Albert all grown up, joins the army with a determined mind to find his beloved horse. To his luck he finds Joey, but what do you think, will he be freed by the authorities so that he gets back to his master? Where Albert has a lot to tell his best friend Joey, he also has a number of bitter experiences to share.
