The Wizard of Oz Ballet Tickets

Throughout the millennia, humans have sought out supernatural means to either remedy certain personal shortcomings such as those dealing with physical appearances or matters of the heart, and for acquiring dominance over others such as mind control and vodoo. The self-appointed guardians of society have long indulged in occult practices to sustain their royal blood lines and root out dissenters. The tale of the Land of Oz, captured in the iconic novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, came out at the turn of the 20th century and captured the undertones of the world events that would unfold in the decades to follow. The individual powers, such as Germany, Japan, Russia, and the US represented by the various characters of the Tin Woodman, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, the Wicked Witch of West and Glinda, the good Witch of the South, may all have their unique strengths but the Hidden Masters or the Royal Political Elite represented by the Wizard of Oz seemingly trumps them all. Get The Wizard of Oz ballet tickets to interpret this timeless story courtesy a scintillating ballet vocabulary.

The Wizard of Oz ballet depicts the themes ingrained in the seminal L. Frank Baum novel and follows the journey of a young orphaned girl named Dorothy and her mutt Toto from a farm in the backwaters of Kansas, where she had been raised by her Aunt and Uncle, to the Land of Oz via a quirky tornado that calmly drops her house right on top of the Wicked Witch of the East, whereby knocking her lights out. Her oppressed subjects the Munchkins rejoice at being rendered free from the yoke of their diabolical ruler. The Good Witch of the North grants Dorothy the magical Silver Shoes of the slain Witch and Dorothy takes to the Yellow Brick Road towards the Emerald City, meeting the heartless Tin Woodman, the brainless Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion along the way. After meeting individually with the hidden Wizard of Oz, with each of them expressing a different need, they are instructed by the Wizard to kill the Wicked Witch of the West in return for granting their wishes. However, as they move towards Winkie Country, they encounter the hordes of Winged Monkeys that have been sent by the Wicked Witch of the West to capture the lot. Yet Dorothy manages to exterminate the Wicked Witch simply by dousing her with water, realizing that she had the power to do so all along. Freed of the power of the Golden Cap wielded by the Wicked Witch of the West, the Winged Monkeys carry Dorothy and company back to the Emerald City to receive their respective wishes and then to the domain of Glinda, the Good Witch of the South for enabling Dorothy and Toto to return back to Kansas.
