The Book of Mormon: A little history
The Book of Mormon is the brainchild of Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone who helped provide the music and lyrics to this musical. They also wrote the book of the show. Stone and Parker are also best known for creating the highly popular comedy series, South Park. The Book of Mormon debuted on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on March 24, 2011. Choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, the show became a big hit and received praise from not just the fans but also the critics. In 2012, it was decided that show would tour the United States for the first time before it premiered in Chicago during the same year. The show has since then gone on to be performed in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.
