Stomp Bismarck Civic Center show is a dance performance by a percussion group called Stomp, which was formed in Brighton in 1991, after a ten year period of performing collaborative shows by, founders Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas. The characteristic special feature of their shows is that the performers use their bodies alongside everyday objects, with various percussion instruments to deliver physical theatre. The founders first got together in 1981, when the street band known as Pookiesnackenburger came to perform with the group of theatre Cliff Hanger. The two groups staged many street comedy musicals throughout the beginning of the 80s, at the Edinburgh Festival. Towards the 90s, Cresswell staged and directed four huge outdoor events such as Beat the Cycle, which among other features include a drum orchestra floating on a pontoon, right in the center of Glasgow. The most large-scale event among these was the popular Heineken Hove Lagoon Show, which used an orchestra with a hundred and twenty drums, alongside a complete orchestra string and Brighton Festival Chorus.
 
The two artists from the current Stomp Bismarck Civic Center show, then came together to produce, finance and direct the first Stomp show in 1991, which debuted at Bloomsbury Theatre in London, following which it was performed in Edinburgh, at the Assembly Room, where it became the ‘Critics Choice’ in The Guardian, and also won the Best of the Fringe from Daily Express.  This show is perhaps the only one of its rare kind, so get thos Stomp Bismarck Civic Center tickets now.
