And what better way there is to learn than to grab Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend tickets and learn from the Muppets on stage.

Sesame Street Live debuted at Bloomington’s Metropolitan Sports Center in 1980, following which it performed for four weeks during Christmas at Madison Square Garden. It has since been children’s favorite production that is also the show’s longest-performed stage tour. It has been staged in more than thirty countries including the US, Canada, Dubai, Japan, Philippines, Mexico, Barbados and Australia among other places. To date, it has had an audience of over fifty million parents and children. These shows are billed in a manner similar to that of Broadway and include productions worth several million dollars complete with designers, actors and choreographers. Also included in the list are the show’s extensive stage designs, costumes and lighting that are supposedly worth the Great White Way. The company marks its thirty-fourth year with the upcoming touring season.

Sesame Street Live shows present original songs and music scores that are complemented with previous favorites of the show. These tunes are performed with accompanying dancers dressed up in their Muppet character’s costume and playing their part. The shows are dedicated to teaching basic social and educational skills through family entertainment. The productions are carried out in theatrical style in an arena. Sesame Street Live now takes four separate tours, each of which features a different plot, scenery, soundtrack and characters. Interestingly, within the US, these productions take form of ‘bus and truck shows’ since their equipment is moved by three of four trucks while the personnel travels on bus.

Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend introduces Chamki who is a long way from home and is visiting Sesame Street only for one day. Grover has made a long list of interesting things to do to entertain Chamki including hot yoga and kayaking. To his surprise, Chamki is all too happy eating delicious cookies with the Cookie Monster, doing the ‘Elmo Slide’ with Elmo, and singing with lovely Abby Cadabby. Super Grover’s appearance gets Chamki’s attention and shows her what ‘real fun’ is. Grover also has something to learn from Chamki while she has fun doing ‘silly’ things with his Sesame Street pals. Children learn the joy of making new friends and learn a new language from a friend. Bringing some comedy to the show is eager Grover who is busy making very lengthy itineraries, listing hundred of things for each day. He ends up creating quite an impossible day.

Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend offers children a joyful experience of interactive learning, including up-close encounters with the adorable furry Muppets. Like Sesame Street’s television version, each of the Sesame Street Live productions bring fun tunes and beautiful lessons for children and grownups. Each of these musical productions has that Broadway-quality appeal that continues to grow on the young audience even after preschool. While adults are pleased by the show’s knowledgeable yet exciting script and high-tech stagecraft, they can also share their childhood tunes with their kids. Popular old songs include Count Me In and hilarious new parodies of Moves Like Jagger and I Want Candy. Grab Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend tickets and spend some quality learning time with your family. A portion from each of these tickets will go to the Sesame Street Workshop as funding for educational programs for children around the world and at home so it’s also for a good cause.
