Christmas is a magical time, full of joyous wonders and delightful stories, shared with friends and family. It is a time when people leave their troubles behind and focus on happy and cheery thoughts. And if ever there was a story that could bring a smile to someone’s face during the holiday season, it would be Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

The Story

The story was written down in the form of a poem and follows the tale of a young reindeer, Rudolph, who has a shiny bright red nose. This physical ‘deformity’ makes him an outsider in his clan and even Santa Clause initially tells him that he cannot be part of his sleigh pulling team. However, later on in the story Rudolph manages to overcome all obstacles to fulfill his destiny.

The Idea

The character of Rudolph was originally created by Robert. L. May in 1939. He was working for a Chicago based retailer, who had tasked him with making a coloring book for children. May first envisioned a Moose; however this was soon changed to a reindeer as they were deemed more kid friendly.

Now you too can relive this heartwarming story. In its exclusive upcoming stage production, you will be able to see all your favorite characters like Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Hermey, Clarice and of course Santa Clause. Get your Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Boston tickets and enjoy the experience, live at the Shubert Theatre.
