The rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar comprises musical compositions by Andrew Lloyd Webber whereas the Tim Rice worked on the lyrics. Ian Gillian sung the part of Jesus in the original album whereas the part of Judas was sung by Murray Head. The plot of the musical is taken from the Gospels of the Four Evangelists which illustrates the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The musical opens is Jerusalem where preparations are being done to welcome Jesus and his disciples. It also brings to attention the political and interpersonal conflicts between Judas and Jesus, the conflicts that are not part of the writings in Bible.
