Jersey Boys Chicago IL show is a jukebox musical made produced on lines of a documentary, based on the real story a 60s rock ‘n roll band, the Four Seasons, which was considered to be one of the most popular bands of its time. The musical’s book is written by Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, with music contributions by Bob Gaudio, who a backing vocalist and keyboardist of the original Four Seasons. In 2005, the show debuted on Broadway and has been staged multiple times since then in productions by its North American National Tour, West End in London, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas, Sydney, Melbourne and Toronto. The musical has garnered much critical acclaim, winning four awards Tony Awards in 2006, in the categories of Best Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical and Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical. It has won several Drama Desk Awards, a Drama League Award, Grammy Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Theatre World Award, a Helpmann Award and a Laurence Olivier Award.
