They started working with the Americans and Europeans, leading ballet groups and introducing the rest of the world to Russian ballet. Some of these professionals include Makarova, Plisetskaya, Nureyev, Vasilyev, Baryshnikov, Vinogradov and Grigorovich. Independent ballet groups started appearing around the 1970s. Kasatkina, B.Y. Eifman, Yakobson and Vasilyev were the initiators of such troupes. The next twenty years saw this trend grow as many more ballet groups started forming. These days, these groups experiment with the choreography and alterations are made to keep the dances up-to-date and interesting.  
 
Hits and Stars is a Russian dance concert produced by Victor Drobysh. Born on 27 June, 1966, Drobysh is a composer and producer who started the company ‘National Music Corporation’. Ever since its inception in 2006, the company has been working on productions for famous Russian artists like Zara, Stas Peha, Natalia Podolsky, Slava, Ivan, Avraam Russo, Chelsea and Tootsie. In 2008, Drobysh’s team ‘Chelsea’ won the third position in the 8^th Star Academy project. In 2010, he was titled the Russian Federation’s ‘Honored Artist’. In 2012, he became a part of the project ‘Battle of Choirs’ and won the second position.  
 
Drobysh’s 2010 production, Hits and Stars, was a major hit in Russia and was a sold-out event at State Kremlin Palace. Popular Russian songs from the past decade were performed by artists like Valeria, Joseph Kobzon, Grigory Leps, Philip, Larisa Dolina, Avraam Russo, Christina Aguilera, Glory, Stas Mikhailov, Zara and Anita Tsoi. Other stars included Diana Gurtskaya group, Stas Peha, Tatiana Ovsienko, Princess Avenue and Viktor Saltykov.
