Back home at Cinderella’s house, while she is dreaming of being a princess, her fairy godmother appears and transforms her into one, with carriage and thus Cinderella, too, leaves for the ball.

Act II, opens with Cinderella reaching the palace 30 minutes before midnight. Her fairy godmother had specifically told her not to stay past midnight. The prince however is bored and has no interest in the ladies gathered at the ball. However, as Cinderella makes her grand entry, he is startled, and intrigued. The two dance and instantly fall in love. As the lovebirds kiss, Cinderella rushes back since the clock begins to strike, however, in the rush of things she drops her glass slipper.

Act III—Cinderella’s stepmother and sisters are talking about last night and finds Cinderella unusually interested in their gossip. The prince however is getting restless and his men are looking for the girl who has stolen their master’s heart. Cinderella’s glass slipper is being put on every girl but doesn’t fit anyone, except off course, Cinderella. The two get married, and live happily ever after.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical is bound to have exceptionally melodious music and the Act I of Cinderella Musical is no exception. With songs like “Impossible; It’s Possible”, to “In My Own Little Corner”, the act is masterfully choreographed and musically composed, much like the rest of the musical. Act II has great songs like “Never In a Thousand Years”, “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful”, “Waltz for a Ball”, “Ten Minutes Ago I Saw You”, and “Gavotte”.
