The Chelsea Flower Show presents the most exotic variety of show gardens from all over the world. An effort of the Royal Horticulture Society, Chelsea Flower Show marks the celebration spring with state of the art gardening and horticulture exhibits. Everything here speaks of tremendous quality and variety; making it a treat for eyes and a feast for senses. The Chelsea Flower Show is an International Spring celebration that attracts approximately two hundred thousand visitors annually. Home of this grand event are the eleven acres of Chelsea grounds located inside London’s Royal Hospital. The show spans over a week and the series of events and exhibits bring forth the artistic efforts and creation of high profile show garden designers. Chelsea Flower Show is loaded with attractions for visitors of all kinds. The preview brings the royal family as part of RHS’s royal patronage; after their visit the show formally premiers. The first two days of the show are exclusively for the RHS members. The Chelsea Flower Show opens for general public on the third day offering wide exquisite displays. However the main attraction and headlining feature remains the centre floral marquee. A set of avant-garde gardens alongside smaller ones, namely the Artisan and the Urban Gardens are also exhibits to die for.
 
The Chelsea Flower Show has become dedicated to the idea of designing, developing, and displaying horticultural trends. A showcase of latest plant varieties and rare flora are brought under the show’s umbrella. Kensington hosted the sow for twenty six years and handed over its hosting rights to London in 1888. From the Temple Gardens the show moved to the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea in 1913. With inconsistent showcasing in the initial years at the Royal Hospital grounds, the show became stable during the 1920s. This was the time when the name Chelsea Flower Show  came to the show. However this part of the show’s timeline was turbulent due to the fallback of World War Two. Nonetheless it remained a pubic favourite even then…
 
Since 1953 and throughout the second half of this century the fame and outreach of the show brought thousands of visitors each day. Starting from 1970s the show attendance was restricted via limited tickets to cater to restricted number of crowds each day. This effort was successful until the late eighties when then demand of the Chelsea Flower Show tickets became a rage that needed addressing. Consequentially, gradual extension of the venue grounds began and completed in the year 2000. Additionally the event became a five day floral celebration in 2005, allowing more visiting cushion. It was also covered extensively by national television and print media.
