Roundabout Theatre Company is celebrating its 50th anniversary and as part of the celebrations, the production has announced a limited run of Cabaret. The Tony Award winning musical will raise its curtains at the Boston Opera House on January 31 and the final show will be on February 13. Cabaret Boston tickets holders will be treated to a story within a story, as the plot turns from a happy to mocking as the real-life events are brought forth. With songs like “Maybe This Time” and “Wilkommen” to “If You Could See Her” and “Mein Herr”, Cabaret has something for everyone that will bring the audience to their feet, simply because of the grandeur of it all.

Reasons to Buy Cabaret Boston Tickets

In a recent review, Houston Chronicle called Cabaret a “devastatingly relevant work of art”. The musical’s revival couldn’t have come at a better time, especially with mob mentality, violent political campaigns, self-involvement and ignorance on the rise. Here’s why you must catch the show’s limited run in your town.

  • Standing as the Roundabout Theatre Company’s greatest triumphs, Cabaret features award-winning music by John Kander and Fred Ebb. Joe Masteroff’s book presents a valiant effort as he tells a complicated love story between a nightclub singer and a struggling novelist.
  • Everything from the elaborate and elegant set to the lighting is fantastic. Scenic designer David Arsenault, lighting designer John Bartenstein and costume designer Gail Baldoni, all play an important role in making Cabaret a sensational theatrical masterpiece.
  • Following an unusual presentation style, an emcee steers the audience through the show. He opens the musical with the line, “Leave your troubles outside! So, life is disappointing? Forget it! In here life is beautiful.” Near the end he asks the crowd, “Where are your troubles now? Forgotten?”.
  • A harrowing show about heartbreak, Cabaret stays with you for a long time. Amazing performances, touching story and fabulous songs – all are worth your time and money.
