He revitalized the energy of the ballet by introducing the twentieth century choreographers like Hans van Manen, Christopher Bruce, William Forsythe and Glen Tetley. The current director Adam Sklute, has injected new energy and spirit into the seasonal classics by employing some of the notable choreographers like Ulysses Dove, Mark Morris, Jiri Kylian, Stanton Welch and Twyla Tharp. Skulte has a rich dancing career as he was the former dancer, Ballet Master and Associate Director of The Joffrey Ballet. He retains the classical legacy by including some of the historical pieces of the twentieth century. You will be carried back in time if you ever get a chance to watch it.
