The legendary country music singer, Patsy Cline, was an amazing musician indeed so much so that a musical was made in her honour celebrating her life. It is a musical with a very extraordinary relationship that recounts the relationship that a friend of Patsy Cline had with her. It is more or less based on a true story, a fact accounting, that is told by Loiuse Seger, a housewife living in Houston. Such was this friendship between a legendary musician and an ordinary housewife that many were moved to tears upon first laying their eyes on this musical.
 
The housewife, Louise Seger, the teller of this story first came upon the music of Patsy Clineback in 1957 when she heard Patsy Cline sing live on the Arthur Godfrey Show. She fell in love, at first sight, with her music and became a vivid fan of her music. She usually pursued the local dj at the radio station where she lived to play Patsy Cline’s songs. In 1961, fate brought Louise and Patsy together in an extraordinary event. Louise was journeying to Houston for her show with her friends and arrived early before the show had begun. Coincidentally, she met Patsy Cline who was travelling alone and a friendship was born.
 
This friendship resulted in Patsy Cline staying at Louise Seger’s home with the two women chatting and swapping stories over a cup of coffee. When Patsy Cline left, she exchanged phone numbers and addresses with Loiuse who didn’t expect Patsy Cline to remember her after that meeting. However, Patsy Cline began sending her letters and made regular phone calls in a friendship that lasted until the singer’s untimely death in an airplane crash in 1963. Their friendship began from an idol’s worship by a fan into one of mutual respect, a relationship many fans would like to have with their idols.
