A Servant To Two Masters Tickets

Servant of Two Masters is a comedy play which was originally written back in the 1700s. Carlo Goldoni, the playwright from Venice wrote the original draft on the request of Antonio Sacco, a famous actor of that time. After a few years, Goldoni himself revised his work and that altered version is followed till date. The initial stage production was done in the Venetian language, followed by several adaptations in Dutch, Russian and English. In the year 2011 this play premiered in London in English language, and was named as ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’. The play received excellent feedback from the audience and became known as the ‘Feel Good Hit of Summers’. Also described as ‘The Funniest Show in the Western World’, its credit goes to Richard Bean, the man accredited for its English adaptation. After the successful run throughout UK, the show has recently been adapted in America as ‘A Servant of Two Masters’. Claim some A Servant of Two Masters tickets as the show is ready to be staged.

Constance Congdon is the man behind the latest English adaptation of this hilarious play. It involves a number of characters, a complicated but interesting storyline which is executed in a perfect way. The beginning of the show takes the audience directly to Clarice’s engagement celebration, who is the daughter of a merchant named Pantalone Dei Bisognosi. The main character is Truffaldino who was the servant of Federigo Rasponi, the latter was killed. Beatrice (Federigo’s sister) disguised as Federigo goes to Pantalone’s house during the engagement and claims that he was betrothed to Clarice. Clarice and her fiancé to be Silvio (son of Dr. Lombardi) are shocked on the arrival of Federigo. Clarice and Silvio’s wedding is eventually cancelled because of Federigo (who is actually dead) because Clarice’s father says that the vows had to be respected.

On the other hand, Truffaldino gets an offer from Florindo (Beatrice’s lover) to work under him and he accepts it. Truffaldino doesn’t tell him about his current employment, thinking that he can make double money by being employed by two masters. Both his masters Beatrice (disguised as Federigo) and Florindo are staying at the same hotel and send him to check their mail separately. He mixes up their letters and as a result Florindo sets for Venice in search of his lover. Meanwhile, Truffaldino also falls in love with the housemaid Smeraldina.

One fine day, Beatrice reveals the secret of her disguised identity to Clarice and then she leaves the house. Pantalone reveals the truth to Dr. Lombardi and tells him that the marriage between their Clarice and Silvio can still take place. This makes Silvio very happy. Florindo then talks to Pantalone about the marriage of his servant Truffaldino and Clarice’s maid. Clarice refuses as she knows that her maid is already committed to Beatrice’s servant. At this point, Truffaldino is bound to confess that he is a servant of two masters simultaneously and that both his masters are unaware of it. The show ends in a positive and happy way by having all the couples married happily.

Truffaldino has played the most significant role in the play. He is always hungry and looking for one thing or the other to eat. In the end he finds his love and the play ends with him and his lover being together forever. The comic mix-ups, the funny situations and the hilarious body language makes the audiences laugh at every point. By the middle of the show, you might find yourself stuck in the suspense but one by one they all turn into happily ever after situations. Grab A Servant of Two Masters tickets and enjoy this different story which was written back in the seventies but is presented to you with a completely fresh direction.
